Developing Vision

UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOUR VISION IS
Vision is something that is bigger than today, bigger than right now.
Vision is a compelling, positive, realistic, imagination of the future.
Focusing on your Vision will be the catalyst to focus on the future not past
Vision is a plan for us to enlarge who we are, what we want and how we think
Vision will develop a passion in you to do more things, and achieve higher
Your Vision should cause you to do things you would not normally do 

UNDERSTANDING WHAT VISION IS NOT
Vision is not the same as Purpose, Purpose is a direction a general heading Vision is the destination - a desired future
Purpose is abstract, Vision is concrete
Having a Vision is not the same as setting a Goal.

A series of Goals will lead to achieving your Vision
If your vision is to become a mountain guide, you must first learn how to climb a mountain. 

WHAT VISION WILL DO FOR YOU
Having Vision will create meaning in your life, for you and others
Vision create coherence, you and others know what is wanted and why
Vision creates a mandate to develop real strategy, the how to
Vision will force you to focus on your goals
Vision creates persistence - do not give up if you want it bad enough
Vision will push you to your full potential
Vision forces you to focus on the positive and stay on track

MAKE YOUR VISION BIG + POWERFUL
Your Vision should be so BIG and so POWERFUL you have no idea how you will achieve it - the thought of it should almost scare you!
Your Vision should make you feel excited, and uncomfortable
Your Vision should push you to understand who you truly are

WHAT IS YOUR VISION ? WHAT GOALS WILL YOU HAVE TO HIT IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE YOUR VISION ?

WARRIOR ADVICE
People will not buy into your Vision until they have bought into you
Do not rush the process, gaining a true vision takes time and development
Do not allow others to reduce YOUR VISION to their comfort zone
Start with a one year vision and strategy to get there - Write it down.
Review your progress often - make adjustments as needed to stay on track.
Expect to pay the price or your Vision is just a dream.
Expect people to resist your Vision, do not change do not waiver for them
There is no perfect time to begin. Right Now is the time

Reaching you vision is just the starting point to reaching another vision of where you want to be.
